CNC Sliding Head Turning

OM BSA Enterprises manufactures precision turned components on CNC sliding-head (Swiss-type) lathes at our plants in MIDC Rabale, Navi Mumbai and Additional MIDC Ambernath. Our sliding-head shop runs Citizen, Tsugami, Star and Tornos machines, all fitted with bar feeders for continuous, high-volume production.

Why sliding-head turning

On a sliding-head lathe the bar moves through a guide bush, so the cut always happens right next to the support. This keeps long, slender parts straight and holds tight tolerances along the full length. Turning, drilling, cross-drilling, milling flats, threading and parting can all be done in one setup, so parts come off the machine complete.

• Shafts and spindles, including long stepped and hex-ended shafts
• Pins, studs and links: stepped, threaded, cross-drilled and knurled

• Brass and copper conductor parts

Materials

Stainless steel (including SS431), free-cutting steel such as EN1A, alloy steels such as EN9 and EN31, brass, copper and titanium, all from certified raw material.

• More than 7 million parts a month across both plants
• 600+ part numbers built to customer drawings

Quality built in

Every batch goes through first-piece, in-process and pre-dispatch inspection. Critical dimensions are checked on our Keyence automatic image measuring system, and optical sorting machines screen small parts. PPAP and inspection reports are available on request. We are certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
