VMC Machining & Second-Operation Milling

Our vertical machining centres (VMCs) handle milled parts and the second operations that turned components often need. We run LMW and BFW 4-axis VMCs at our Rabale and Ambernath plants, so parts can move from the sliding-head shop to milling without leaving our facility.

What we machine on VMCs

• Second-operation milling of turned shafts and pins: flats, slots, keyways and cross holes
• Milled blocks, clamp blocks and brackets
• Drilled and tapped holes on multiple faces, using the 4th axis to reduce setups
• Small housings and plates made to drawing

Supporting operations

In-house drilling, tapping, milling and punching for secondary operations, plus a tool room for fixtures, tool making and CNC tool re-sharpening.

Quality

First-piece approval before every batch, in-process checks at the machine and pre-dispatch inspection. Dimensions are verified on our VMM, profile projector and Keyence image measuring system.
